This is my first post to this new blog at http://www.adultlearner.wordpress.com. This blog is made for the purposes of helping other adults become informed about going to college or advanced training. I like many of you, had my position recently discontinued. I chose to embrace my true potential and take the leap that is college.

          When I first was looking around for information about college and areas of study, I about went cross-eyed from all the fragmented information out there. While some answers, for whatever reasons were not even available. Questions like how much does it really cost? How much will the government actually pay for? What degrees offer the best chance of employment in these economically troubled times? Well three weeks later, a few bottles of ibuprofen, and frequent Icy hot packs for my barely functional typing appendages(hands/wrists). I emerged from the internet victorious.

          Well, Why is it so hard to find consolidated information that is actually useful to someone who is just getting going? That brings us back to this blog. The buck stops here. I will guide you beginners through the steps you need to get on the right track. I will be adding content so keep checking back for the latest!
